Tate faces "life in prison"
Andrew Tate, the controversial online influencer and former kickboxer, now faces a total of 42 criminal charges in the United Kingdom, according to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). His brother Tristan Tate faces 17 charges. UK authorities are seeking their extradition from the United States following their arrest in Florida.
Details of the Charges
The CPS authorised 38 new charges against the brothers on or around 19 July 2026, after receiving further evidence from Bedfordshire Police. These relate to four additional alleged victims, bringing the total number of alleged victims to seven.For Andrew Tate (aged 39):

Three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation
Three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm

Arrest and Extradition Proceedings
On or around 18–19 July 2026, Andrew and Tristan Tate were arrested in the Miami area by the US Marshals Service at the request of UK authorities. They are dual British-US citizens.The CPS has stated that prosecutors will seek extradition to the UK to face both the original charges and the new ones. Extradition proceedings are expected to follow in the US courts.

Malcolm McHaffie, Head of the Special Crime Division at the CPS, said:
“We have decided to prosecute Andrew and Tristan Tate for further offences including rape, arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation and offences relating to indecent images of a child. These charging decisions followed receipt of a further file of evidence from Bedfordshire Police and bring the total number of alleged victims in this case to seven.”
He added that criminal proceedings are active and emphasised the importance of not prejudicing the defendants’ right to a fair trial through online commentary or reporting.

The Tate brothers have previously faced legal proceedings in Romania related to similar allegations (rape and human trafficking), though those cases remain separate.
